Kati Rooney
Kati Rooney has been a resident of Wicker Park for 21 years. She is married to Jim Hennessey – an avid cyclist, open water swimmer, bread baker, carpenter and awesome dad. They have two sons – one attending UIC and the other a junior at Lincoln Park High School. Kati also loves to bike and swim in Lake Michigan. Until recently Kati owned a video production company, but she closed that in April of 2006 to focus on other projects. She currently teaches part time at Columbia College, is a board member of Free Spirit Media and a volunteer with the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation. She is also a pier support counselor with FAIM (Families of Amputees in Motion) and an occasional speaker for the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago’s Life Center. She is committed to living a low impact life and helping Chicago become a greener city. She can’t wait to escape the congestion of her neighborhood for long walks or runs on the Bloomingdale Trail.
She joined the board of FBT in the spring of 2007.
