The Friends of Bloomingdale Trail is working toward obtaining a level one Arboretum status through ArbNet Arboretum Accreditation Program, the world’s only international accreditation program specific to arboreta (overseen by Chicago’s own Morton Arboretum).
This will formalize some of the community outreach, tree conservation, and plant studies already happening along the trail. It would also provide international exposure to our beautiful Bloomingdale Trail.
